Case Revelations

That afternoon, Elena met client David Miller, claiming wrongful termination.

"Zentech fired me after eight years," David said, sliding documents. "No severance."

Elena scanned the notice. "'Gross negligence' with zero specifics? Actionable." She flipped pages. "Wait—your last review was excellent?"

"Three days pre-termination."

Red flags sprouted. "Your replacement?"

"A junior from the CEO's hometown." David's jaw tightened. "Half my salary."

Elena drummed the table. Classic illegal cost-cutting.

Then she reached the NDA.

"Signed post-termination?"

"Yes. They withheld my final paycheck otherwise."

Elena's pulse spiked.

"Coerced NDAs? We're going for punitive damages."

As David left, Elena's phone buzzed. Unknown number:

You left something at Chen's Kitchen.

Attached: her "accidentally" dropped business card.

Elena grinned. Game on.
